Serendipity in the Research Process

Right now I am fleshing out the interrelationship between self-efficacy, bounded rationality, heuristics, and risk.  One of the beautiful aspects of reserch is that you almost always end up forcing yourself to find more information on the particular subject than you had set out from the beginning. I set out to write a paper about legal self-efficacy and its effect on the protection of property rights.  Now I have discovered two relevant models of risk and make my own and empiricially affirm it, in addition to the property rights.

Serendipity is about this : looking for something and finding something else.

Serendipity: the long winding road to publishing.
